A cracking contest where JIMMY STYLES rates highly along with Fishforcompliments and Oldjoesaid whilst Genki could show up well at a price. Neither Jimmy Styles nor Genki ran up to market expectations in the Wokingham where they raced on the unfavoured stands' side but there cannot have been anything amiss with either runner given that they are turned out again so quickly. Both had particularly good records at Ascot so their performances were all the more disappointing but it could be worth taking the chance that they can bounce back. Genki ran well behind J J The Jet Plane over course and distance on his reappearance and has the ability to go close but Clive Cox's runner may be the better option. He was made favourite at Ascot following an impressive victory at Newmarket and is well drawn here as he'll look to control the pace from the front. Fishforcompliments was always to the fore when recording his first success for almost three years at Hamilton for which he's been handed an 8lb rise which looks severe even though he's competed from higher marks in the past. Mac Gille Eoin is another to race prominently and both he and Oldjoesaid come into this race on the back of decent runs at Epsom although this trip appears to stretch Henry Candy's charge. Hold-up performers Matsunosuke and Hogmaneigh are worth bearing in mind but will need luck in running unlike Jimmy Styles whose fate will be in his own hands.
