PREMIO LOCO is fancied to get the better of Ordnance Row and Charlie Farnsbarns in an intriguing heat. Chris Wall's stable star made his name with a series of quality performances on Polytrack but he gave notice at Goodwood that he can prove every bit as good on turf. He displayed a good turn of foot to squeeze between runners to prevail in a blanket finish and the tactical nature of these races should play to his strengths. Laa Rayb has his quirks but is decent on his day; he often races prominently as does Ordnance Row who had the Johnston runner behind when scoring here in May. The six year-old is an admirably consistent performer who seems certain to be there or thereabouts come the line. Bushman hasn't really delivered on the promise of last year's Sandown win and is running out of excuses whilst Lady Deauville has shown her best form with cut in the ground. Without A Prayer has stronger claims but appears to need a decent pace at this trip which is far from guaranteed in this line-up and Charlie Farnsbarns could emerge as a bigger threat although he's been doing his racing over further this term. In contrast, the conditions appear perfect for Premio Loco.
Charlie Farnsbarns (IRE) 13-2 (9-4) Held up towards rear, headway on rail when badly hampered over 1f out, headway soon after, went 3rd last, not quite pace to reach leading pair, 3rd of 9, 2 1/2l behind Tranquil Tiger (9-1) at Goodwood 1m 2f Listed stks (1) gf in May.
Ordnance Row 7-1 (9-1) Held up in 5th, edged right over 2f out, went 5 lengths 2nd 2f out, until weakened over 1f out, 6th of 9, 9l behind Tranquil Tiger (9-1) at Goodwood 1m 2f Listed stks (1) gf in May.
Premio Loco (USA) 5-1 (9-8) Tracked leaders, ridden well over 2f out, ran on strongly when narrow gap appeared well inside final furlong, led near finish, won at Goodwood 1m Listed stks (1) gd in May beating Pure Poetry (8-10) by nk, 8 ran.
Without A Prayer (IRE) 8-1 (9-4) Tracked leaders in 3rd, not clear run from 2f out until approaching final furlong, kept on one pace after, 4th of 8, 2 1/2l behind Mac Love (9-4) at Epsom Downs 1m stks (1) gd.
Laa Rayb (USA) 18-1 (9-0) In touch, hung left over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 9th of 10, 7l behind Main Aim (9-0) at Haydock 7f stks (1) gd in May.
Bushman 12-1 (9-5) Led, ridden and headed over 2f out, kept pressing leaders, no extra final 50 yards, 7th of 8, 3l behind Premio Loco (9-8) at Goodwood 1m Listed stks (1) gd in May.
Lady Deauville (FR) 6-1 (9-3) Prominent, raced keenly, went 2nd 6f out, led just over 4f out, came stand side entering straight, ridden and headed 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, 4th of 7, 15l behind Cassique Lady (8-12) at Warwick 1m 3f fll lst stks (1) gs.
