WAR ARTIST and Ancien Regime are making their seasonal reappearances but they are the class acts in this field and could provide the winner with preference for the Eustace trained runner. The selection started his career in South Africa where he won four times and he has shown a high level of form on these shores despite failing to win a race. He chased home Kingsgate Native in the Golden Jubilee Stakes before taking third behind Marchand D'Or in the July Cup and is fancied to open his account for his current connections. Ancien Regime took a Sandown Group 3 last term when getting the better of the smart Prime Defender. The soft ground was probably against him on his final start and there should be more to come from this lightly raced colt. Atlantic Sport drops in trip and could be taken off his feet in this company which could pave the way for the likes of Spin Cycle or Arganil to finish in the money. Spin Cycle disappointed in the King's Stand but should be a factor at this level whilst Arganil progressed well over the winter and spring and could yet make an impact in Pattern company. The likes of Tombi and Knot In Wood are competing for minor honours at best and this appears to be a decent opportunity for War Artist to make a winning return.
