CHAPERNO is likely to be short enough following a promising debut but he's difficult to overlook in a race that may lack strength in depth. The Human League is one of the likelier dangers whilst Grey Garth could be a newcomer to keep an eye on. The Godolphin runner narrowly lost out to a more experienced rival at Haydock where he showed signs of greenness. The 120,000 dollar purchase boasts a smart American pedigree and is bred to make a juvenile and could be more precocious than some of his rivals. The Human League shaped better than the bare form suggests on debut and looks sure to improve for the experience although he did hang a little when under pressure and may prefer easier conditions. It's always worth noting when Philip Robinson teams up with James Bethell so it will be interesting to see which way Grey Garth moves in the market. Lowdown and Elmfield Giant are another likely looking pair whilst Pat Haslam has his string in good order which brings Orpen All Hours into the picture and they, too, are worth noting in the betting which looks sure to be headed by our selection, Chaperno.
