      Verdict

Dandy Nicholls has plundered a couple of these events in recent weeks and looks set to take another here with Scotty's Future, stablemate Eton and Michael Bell's Barking Mad look to be the main dangers. Scotty's Future is not the force of old but has managed to win a couple of weak events on the all-weather this winter. If he can recapture his turf form of last year, which included a second in a class B handicap at York, he should be in the shake up here. Eton holds his form well and must be considered after chasing home Platinum Charger in a similar event to this at Catterick last time out. Barking Mad is well in here on official ratings but does have to be forgiven a poor run last time. Morahib has had his training problems, but is another to consider following a promising seasonal debut at Yarmouth. Once again a tricky contest to work out, but Scotty's Future has the ability to go very close indeed.
