In depth

Verdict

This is a very open classified event and we will take a chance on Leoballero, with Serieux, Lasanga and Krugerrand put forward as the dangers. Compared with most of these the selection is quite unexposed and has put up two decent efforts in defeat this season. The most recent was at Leicester when a close up fifth behind Pintle, with more improvement expected he could prove difficult to beat. Serieux has been rated in the hundreds so has to be in with a squeak here after taking on much better opposition in handicaps. Lasanga ran well to finish second to the Michael Stoute trained Fremen here recently and as this was only his second run in more than eight months, there could be further improvement in him. Krugerrand was an excellent second behind Opening Ceremony at Doncaster last time, and could go well if he can avoid trouble when making his customary late run. So all in all a very competitive affair and Leoballero is a sporting choice.
