Verdict

Plenty of modest opponents on display so Bailieborough has an outstanding chance and can bring up his hat-trick, chiefly at the expense of Senor Eduardo. The selection is well clear of his opponents on official ratings and comes into this race seeking a straight hat-trick of successes following wins at Musselburgh and Ayr. A win at another Scottish venue looks highly likely and he is the one to beat. Senor Eduardo comes out second best on ratings and has form enough to chase the selection home, while Chisel would have a chance base on his form of last summer but has not been in the best if firm of late. With Chisel not exactly a leading light from the Mark Johnston stable, it is hard to build a compelling case for the others, so Bailieborough looks the best option and, accordingly, gets the vote.
