A very good line-up for the Alex Salmond-sponsored feature race on the card, and from our shortlist of Danelor, Young Mr Grace, Straw Bear and Cherished Number the vote goes to Danelor. Looking at the field. Danelor came good here last time and, while he has been raised six pounds to a mark of 86 for that win, he has run well in competitive races from 84 and looks set to play his part today. Course and distance winner Tony Tie is just two pounds above a winning mark now but he finished well behind Danelor here last time. Young Mr Grace looked progressive when scoring at Haydock last time and, now rated just two pounds higher and with the runner-up having won a competitive handicap since, he also has to be afforded plenty of respect on going we know he can handle. Low Cloud ran creditably at Chester two runs ago but has yet to win a handicap and has never raced here, while Hills Of Gold comes here on the back of a Chester win but he got the run of a flip start there and is another who has yet to race at this track. Qualitair Wings has won over course and distance but has yet to win from his revised mark, despite a fair effort at Newmarket two runs ago. The lightly raced Straw Bear has to be respected from the Sir Mark Prescott stable, even though he was slightly disappointing at Sandown last time, but Nevada Desert remains five-pounds above his sole winning victory mark, but course and distance winner Cherished Number is certainly well handicapped if being able to get back to his winning form of May of last year. As we say, it's a good line-up, and the best of them might prove to be Danelor.
