In the finale, Colorado Falls rates the selection, with Kid'Z'Play and Millennium Hall possibly rating his biggest dangers. The selection won over course and distance in May from just a pound-lower mark than he races from today and, having given the impression last time that he looked primed to run a good race next time, he looks to hold fair claims. Much as Kid'Z'Play is five pounds above a previous best winning mark, his very capable young rider claims three of those back, and Millennium Hall is a course and distance scorer from a two-pound lower mark than today and is now 10 pounds better off for the two necks that Yankeedoodledandy finished ahead of him at Haydock on July. A possible upside for the latter, though, is that Kevin Darley is replacing less-experienced rivals on Pat Haslam's runner. Of the others, Salem has run respectably of late from his revised mark and Pilgrims Progress, a winner at Killarney on heavy in May 2003, is marginally better off for the head that he finished behind Yankeedoodledandy at Haydock on August 6 and could have better to come. It sets up an interesting affair, one that can go to Colorado Falls.
