In depth

Verdict

MIRRORED's form was given a boost when the runner-up scored at Goodwood and he's fancied to defy a 6lb rise on his return to turf; dangers include Maxwell Hawke and Mister Dee Bee. Mirrored has progressed with each start and appeals as the type to continue to do so but it's always encouraging to see the form franked and the Stoute runner could make light of his revised mark. Maxwell Hawke has been well backed on both starts and it would clearly be a worry for supporters of the selection were he to be so again. He doesn't look too badly treated for his handicap bow and merits respect. Mister Dee Bee needed a return to maiden company in order to open his account but he'd been set a couple of stiff tasks at the back end of last season and could be found easier opportunities this term. We're not sure that this is one though and, although you have to consider the likes of Royal Executioner in particular and beware that headgear could have a positive effect on Roly Boy and Yellow Painter, we think that Mirrored is the fairest bet of all.
