Lady Alruna confirmed she has trained on with a pleasing reappearance in a good Newbury handicap, from which the winner and the runner-up have boosted the form in better company. She should have come on for the run and her trainer seems to taking his time with her, so she should be the one to beat on this drop back into maiden company. Her main opposition will come from the two other three-year-olds, Northern Games who has been in respectable form in this company and Western Applause. The latter showed ability on both starts at Newmarket as a juvenile and should be fully wound up on her seasonal reappearance. The remainder are unlikely to be good enough here.
