We're going to take on Candela Bay and row in with Oarsman. The selection has been returned a beaten favourite on his last two starts having chased home Iguazu Falls on his debut at Kempton but, the winner and Bronze Cannon aside, that race has turned out to be pretty ordinary. It may be worth giving him one more chance today though as the yard was badly out of form in April when he had his two runs at Folkestone but is going much better now. The handicapper has given him every chance; he's well drawn and this is winnable. Candela Bay is due to race from a 3lb higher mark in future and won convincingly at Salisbury. That fillies handicap wasn't the strongest of races but she should be capable of better yet and is likely to be sent off a short-priced favourite. This race looks less competitive than the ones Masada has been contesting of late and she's not without claims whilst Lieutenant Pigeon has been in decent form of late and should be competitive again. Our idea of the winner, though, is Oarsman.
