Singing Wizard can foil Norman Beckett, with This Way That Way and Loom seen as the other leading players. Singing Wizard showed no worthwhile form until finishing third at Towcester last month, and should be suited by this easier track. He should handle the soft ground, and would not have to improve too much to open his account. His main rival appears to be Norman Beckett, the only four-year-old in the line up, and who has been unlucky enough to find one too good on each of his last three outings. He too found the Towcester hill too demanding on his latest start, and is sure to figure in the finish. Towcester gets yet another mention here, as This Way That Way was very unlucky when hampered after the last at the Northants track, and he has since had a spin on the Flat, so is another for the short-list. However, the pin comes down on Singing Wizard.
