Flying Forme gets a tentative vote over the likes of Spider Boy, Blue Sovereign and Dr Flight to name but a few. Nothing stands out in this open contest, and with that in mind we cannot be too confident in singling out Flying Forme, who was fancied at Newton Abbot last time but in the end was a well-beaten fourth. However, the step up in trip should help his cause, and he should also cope with the soft ground so is the pick. Spider Boy is fully exposed these days but has shaped quite well on more than one occasion this season, and is another that will relish the extra distance, while Blue Sovereign is very one-paced but will be kept up to his work by Andrew Thornton, and is another to consider for a place at least. Dr Flight has more scope than the rest at the age of five, but he is perhaps best watched for the time being, and for the winner we return to Flying Forme.
