This is a fascinating novice event and Robscarvic is just preferred to Montagne d'Or and Allahor. Alan Swinbank is a master at placing his horses to run up a sequence and Robscarvic can make it back to back victories this afternoon. His debut success came in the heavy at Newcastle, when after running green in the early stages, he then quickened nicely in the style of a decent recruit. Montagne d'Or is a well bred son of Monjeu from a stable that is having plenty of success with their juveniles. The market will give a good guide to his racecourse fitness. One with no such concerns is Allahor who has already raced four times including when successful at Newcastle on soft. Any more rain would certainly aid this one's cause. Shannersburg may prove best of the remainder but we return to Robscarvic as the more likely winner.
