Nonrunner
A very tricky finale may fall to Lightning Queen, with Always Best and Monsieur Dumas the best alternatives. The selection wouldn't appreciate any more rain but has solid form claims on her latest third behind Copernican at Brighton. She appears to be on the upgrade and should go well off her current mark. Always Best doesn't run two races alike but if on a going day Mark Johnston's charge could prove troublesome. Monsieur Dumas has solid form last season but has run poorly so far this campaign. If returning to his best he would be a major threat to all. The other interesting runner is the first time visored Blockley, but unlike most of these Lightning Queen does look progressive and she just edges the decision.
