In depth

Verdict

Only five to post but a tightly-knit affair with nothing discounted. However, after finding it hard to get her head in front last term, FORTUNES MELODY has come good the last twice and gets the nod, with a valuable 7lb claimed by Ben Bromley who scored on the mare here over hurdles in September. She's only five and should have plenty more to come. Good Luck Charm was no match for Kissesforkatie at Fontwell eight days ago but it was a solid introduction to fences and she's well respected in receipt of weight all round. The other three have respectable credentials, although all make seasonal reappearances with Farne, who showed distinct promise over fences last term, preferred to the chasing debutants, Gazette Bourgeoise and Eureka Creek, both of whom are likely to do well over fences.
