Super Nick may prove to be the answer here, with Red Rattle, Great Grimsby and Finbar's Pi others to consider. In truth, nothing stands out much, but Super Nick gets the vote on the strength of some fair efforts for Nigel Twiston-Davies last term that included bumper wins at Market Rasen and Aintree. Though good enough to contest the Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree on his last outing in April, he was simply not good enough and was pulled up. Now with Venetia Williams, he should pay to follow as long as he is not highly-tried. Red Rattle makes his debut over hurdles, and on breeding will definitely appreciate the step up in trip, so he should be noted after today, while Great Grimsby is another that sees obstacles for the first time, as is Finbar's Pi. Likewise Coe who has only raced on heavy ground, and Threeoseven lacks experience. All in all, in a race in which bets are best kept to the minimum, Super Nick is the pick.
