In depth

Verdict

Bathwick Breeze looks the answer to the opener, with Serabad and Wildhuter seen as the main dangers. Bathwick Breeze shaped like a certain future winner when second to Ardesia over the course-and-distance 16-days ago, making most until tiring on the run-in. That was on soft ground though, and so today's slightly faster going will be a big help. Serabad was a Listed winner on the Flat in France earlier this year, and lost no caste in defeat when fourth to the highly-rated Franchoek on his hurdles bow at Chepstow three weeks ago. He will be seen to better effect on soft ground this winter, and should be kept in mind. Ex-German Wildhuter made plenty of mistakes on his timber debut at Fontwell, but is sure to improve for the run, and is another that will be placed to good effect in time. On this occasion though, Bathwick Breeze should have the legs of them.
