Jimmy Frost's Vic's World has been running well of late and has every chance of gaining what would be a well deserved success were he to score here but he has yet to confirm that he stays this far and is far from certain to do so and a better bet may be CAPTAIN SMOOTHY, who is selected ahead of Power Pack Jack. The last mentioned is trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies, who can do little wrong with his runners of late so he may do better than on his most recent start last month but he needs to if he is to trouble the judge and may be best watched. Henry Daly's Prof de L'Isle faces no easy task in giving weight away all round and has yet to win from 13 career starts so of more interest may be Claire Dyson's Tanners Court, who has been running consistently well on ground softer than ideal and he has to be considered. Andrew Turnell's Wadswick Ben was going well before falling at Leicester last time and cannot be discounted but a better bet looks to be Captain Smoothy. Sean Curran's gelding would not be winning out of turn having found just one too good in each of his last two starts and he has an obvious chance off just a 3lb higher mark than last time over a trip that suits.
