      Verdict

      MILLDOWN STORY gets the nod here ahead of Sea Crest and the potential improver Teia Tephi. Plenty of form to go on in this competitive if slightly weak maiden. The highest rated in the race on official figures is just the 67-rated selection Milldown Story. A decent third at Chepstow last time out behind Poppet's Lovein reads fairly well in the context of this race and a repeat of that run may be good enough. Abu Derby's best run was arguably his latest effort at Yarmouth when a 33/1 fourth to Straboe, Fantasy Gladiator also comes here on the back of a decent Yarmouth run and he has arguably contested better races, whilst Chatterszaha hasn't been seen for 308 days since her last run at Great Leighs. Sea Crest's consistency means that she must be respected; the first two were clear of the third when she last ran at Ripon, although it should be pointed out that the stablemate that beat her was officially rated 41. Teia Tephi will find this much easier than the Yarmouth race she ran in last time out, but she didn't really show too much to get excited about. Having made 65,000 guineas at the breeze-ups, improvement is expected from this half-sister to the classy Tariq, however it is Milldown Story who just gets the vote.
