Not a great start to the card and INQUISITRESS is taken to win from Kashmina and Recalcitrant. The selection likes it here, having won over course and distance last time, for which she has gone up 4lbs. All of her wins have come on the Polytrack at either this venue or Kempton, and she has won four of her five races from higher marks than this, so there is hope that now she has hit some form again she can follow-up. Kashmina won a similarly minor Windsor handicap over this trip last time and is also raised 4lbs now. That was her maiden success and now she knows she can do it then she has to be respected, given that she has gone well in defeat off higher marks in the past. Recalcitrant would be close to selection material if this were at Brighton - where he has done all his winning - but he is not as effective here and we will oppose. Nassar has shown some reasonable form in context, though there are doubts over his stamina, while Rehabilitation looks like he has a race in him quite soon, although he will probably want a further drop in the weights. Inquisitress can provide the answer.
