      Verdict

HAWK'S EYE can take the three-year-old handicap, while Wilbury Star and Navajo Nation are others who can get heavily involved. The selection carries a 6lb penalty here for a comfortable success, officially less than two lengths, over this trip at Windsor last time. He is relatively lightly-raced and certainly open to further improvement, so provided he handles the surface then he looks the one to be on. Wilbury Star beat Oriental Girl a length at Salisbury over this distance when sporting first-time blinkers and this will require a bit more, but with only a 3lb rise he will remain competitive. Navajo Nation is up 3lbs also, although in his case he was just touched off into second at Yarmouth. This is his first try here but he looks to be going the right way and can get involved. Swift Chap has won from a higher mark than today's, so there are possibilities for him, especially over a trip where he is unexposed. Inis Boffin is bred to get this far but has yet to covince that she does, while Squad will have to go some to defy a 5lb rise for a Brighton win when there was cut in the ground. Hawk's Eye is the one for us.
