Brian Meehan has another strong chance of success here with RAKAAN, who should face stiffest competition from Adele Blanc Sec. The blinds are applied to the selection, who went close over this trip at Newmarket last time and his BHA rating of 100 should be taken seriously after five runs now, two of which have been in Group 2 company. He should have too much class. Adele Blanc Sec is clearly less exposed after just one start, when staying on well to be runner-up at Windsor over this trip. She will be better for that smart effort and can pick up some more prize money. Almadaa represents a yard going well and improved from first run to second when making the frame in a course and distance maiden, so there is hope that there is more to come once again. Meehan second string Blushing looks likely to be seen to better effect in handicaps, while a market check is advised regarding both debutants, though both are likely to improve with age. Rakaan can finally get off the mark.
