On The Piste has been sold since her last selling win and she cannot be overlooked having won two of her four starts to date, however DIAMOND AFFAIR is one of a few who are proven on this surface and she is preferred to Watch Chain. Although still a maiden after six starts, this Namid filly has shown plenty of ability and it shouldn't be long before she gets on the board. She has a mark of 59 for this first foray into nursery company and she should run well from a decent draw. Top-weight Gower Sophia tries the blinkers for the first time but quite a few Captain Rio's tend to like this surface, Princess Shamal ran well behind Right Rave at 50/1 last time out in a weak Yarmouth race, whilst Yeah, Venture Girl and Dimaire are all unexposed and each has had the obligatory three qualifying runs; improvement is expected. Rightcar's effort behind Mahiki reads well, and on that form line she is closely linked with Angie's Nap and Southwark Newshawk. Watch Chain caught the eye on his recent fourth to Radio City at Brighton; things may have happened a bit quick for him there but he stayed on well and granted a 3lb drop in the weights, that may seem like an overly generous move by the handicapper. An open heat, but Diamond Affair can land the spoils.
