Wasted Talent is rated the best of these on turf and, placed in 10 of her career starts looks to hold a very good chance in a modest affair. Her main opponents could well prove to be Red Moor, Givemethemoonlight, Santa Catalina and Conchita. Red Moor was staying on over a mile here last time time out and now steps up in trip. On breeding, he might stay, so has to be on the shortlist in a very modest event. Givemethemoonlight has been placed four times in his last nine runs at this type of level so has also to be considered. However, he too steps up in distance and it is not guaranteed to suit by any stretch of the imagination. Santa Catalina has yet to prove she stays this far but ran respectably on her first run for Gay Kellaway last time in the race in which Red Moor was sixth. Conchita was just ahead of Givemethemoonlight in a Wolverhampton seller last time, so they would appear to hold comparable chances. On breeding, Velvet Moon would seem more suited by shorter distances, but watch the market for clues anyway. This brings us back to the selection, Wasted Talent.
