Foot Fault could provide the answer here with Alizar, Blofeld and Foxies Future rated as the biggest dangers. The selection cost 160,000 euros, is well-bred and put up a best-yet effort when fourth in a fast-run six-furlong maiden at Lingfield last time out. As that was his first run for 99 days, he can be expected to improve and warrants serious consideration. Alizar comes here in good heart having appreciated the step up in trip to score over course and distance in a seller last time. This is tougher but, as we say, she arrives in good form. Blofeld came good last time in a course and distance nursery and runs again under a seven-pound penalty. It was not a good race that he won but, that said, this race also lacks strength in depth, so he has to be on the shortlist. Bear in mind, though, that he had been beaten in claimers prior to that success. Foxies Future won a course and distance maiden back in October and, despite being beaten since, ought to be more competitive at this level. They would appear to be the major players in this contest with Foot Fault getting the nod.
