Jonny Ebeneezer is the clear pick of these on official BHB ratings and is difficult to oppose in a race where the main dangers are expected to come from Speedfit Free and Hurricane Coast. The last mentioned failed to win from 10 starts on turf this term but ran some respectable races in defeat, including when second of 14 to Yorker in a Brighton claimer last month. Paul Blockley's gelding has yet to race on the all-weather but is well enough treated if taking to the surface to be thereabouts. Speedfit Free, who has a penalty to carry, has at least got form on the surface but has to conclusively prove that he stays seven furlongs, while Turku should appreciate the drop in trip but is on a long losing sequence. Better Pal has an absence to overcome, while Heathyardsblessing is out of form so the safest option may be Jonny Ebeneezer. The selection has been running well in better races than this on turf, has form on the surface and is well treated at the weights. He is hard to oppose and we do not intend doing so.
