Dark Champion is sure to be popular here and will not be too far away at the finish, but we are happy to take a chance on La Corujera. The selection ran a fair race when finishing 6th behind Complication at Thirsk on his last outing back in September. He hails from a stable that does well at this track, and having run a fair race on his only previous try on this surface, could well be worth supporting. Dark Champion is the obvious danger and he finished a decent fourth behind If By Chance last time at Newcastle, but he is racing here for the first time so may not handle the surface. He was well beaten at Wolverhampton on his only try on the all-weather back in June last year, and with questions to answer, he may be worth opposing. Cleveland Way has shown fair form on this surface so may be worth noting to see if he is supported in the market, while Jalouhar looks to have decent place claims as he has run well consistently on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. This is not a race for high stakes, but La Corujera could be the answer to a tricky contest.
