In depth

Verdict

Star Trooper hacked up here in selling grade but that was at the 26th time of asking and today's competition is moderate but fiercer than on that occasion. Urban Hymn ran a reasonable enough race at Leicester after a long absence. Its not beyond the realms of possibility that he'll go in today but connections would have been happier with less moisture in the ground. Golden Thunderbolt has had many chances and always looks one to oppose. Our selection is Initative. He's had a couple of names thrown at him in the past but there was a lot to like about the resolution he showed when taking a similar contest at Sedgefield in December. Only Words was behind on that day and will probably be so on this occasion. Xaipete has become frustrating to follow whilst Al Mabrook (third to Shalbeblue here last season) is the one to watch in the market.
