Verdict

Bergamo and Stormy Beech are closely matched on form over course and distance recently and there should not be a great deal between the two again here although rain would help the cause of the latter but we prefer to side with Plutocrat in the hope that he is fit enough for his reappearance. Len Lungo's seven-year-old showed a consistent level of form over similar trips last term and, with ground conditions to suit, he looks the one to be on. With Ferdy Murphy's team in such good form, Fakenham specialist Artemesia has to be respected. He has more solid claims than Romil Star, who was very disappointing last time. Plutocrat has plenty of weight to shoulder but is taken to defy the burden of 11st 12lb.
