Macabre should win this on bare form but whether you want to take the prices about him is another matter entirely. His second in a Ascot maiden last term is light years away from this as a piece of form but Godolphin's current stable form would hardly encourage you to make him a home banker. Richard Gibson isn't a name you'd associate with midweek maidens at this side of the English Channel. Arabian Moon's solid run behind a well-regarded horse of John Gosden's suggests that he will be close up again if handling the faster going. Caribbean Pearl is a half-sister to the very useful Oman Sea. Any market movement should be noted. Kilasser Pride is a relatively cheaply bought daughter of Halling. The remainder have not shown anything of note on their racecourse starts to date. Macabre should win on what we know thus far but the odds are likely to be very short.
