Vague rates a sporting bet against Confidential Lady and Hanoona. Third in the Albany Stakes, Vague should fully appreciate this step up to seven furlongs and can continue the relentless form of the Shalfleet maestro. Confidential Lady has managed to pick up two Northern prizes prior to today. She looks progressive and should not be out of place against much stronger opposition. Mick Channon's Hanoona looked to need further than the six she was sent over on debut and it was a credit to the performance that connections were already talking about top quality mile races next year. The form on the face of it doesn't look the best on offer but she has a plum draw this afternoon. Rising Cross may have a bit to do on the figures but the form of her nursery victory at Newmarket was given a solid boost by Johnny The Fish last week. Lonely Ahead, the daughter of Sayyedaati, holds a Lowther entry at York. She is likely to be a few points bigger than she should be but punters have learnt to their cost that Clive Brittain is still more than capable of leaving egg on the big boys' faces. Nasheej looked very useful when demolishing a field at Newbury. She is watched in the market. Catherine's Cafe showed tenacity at Salisbury to land a novice Auction stakes. This is a step up in grade for her but her form is more proven than most. Vague secures our selection in a fascinating race.
