In depth

Verdict

Sonny Santino has been a model of consistency having never failed to finish out of the first three in any of his five starts but Richard Hannon's colt may have to settle for a minor role here with preference for Right Again, who gets the vote ahead of Mister Benedictine. The booking of Kieren Fallon for the selection really takes the eye and the Alan Jarvis-trained youngster looks worth another chance on the evidence of earlier form having failed to handle the testing conditions at Goodwood last time. Richard Hannon's Gramm created a favourable impression when winning on his debut but was disappointing at Newbury subsequently on an admittedly softer surface and may be best watched now. Santiago Star did nothing wrong when landing a Newmarket nursery last time but this looks tougher, while Dont Dili Dali steps up in class having finally opened her account at the sixth attempt at Yarmouth on her most recent start. Right Again has been keeping better company than this though and is taken to resume winning ways under Fallon today.
