Redwood Star has been in fine form of late but she has a 6lb penalty to carry today and that may prevent the five-year-old from again so a safer bet looks to be Sweetest Revenge, who gets the verdict over Desert Dreamer. The last mentioned opened his account for the season when successful at Newmarket last week but that was over six furlongs and a combination of the return to five furlongs, a faster surface and a 6lb penalty makes life tougher now. Milton Bradley's Snow Wolf has slipped to an attractive mark and has to be respected given the stable's record in these types of races, while Simpsons Mount has been showing signs of running into form of late but has been punished by the handicapper as a result. Parkside Pursuit, another Milton Bradley inmate, is another worthy of a mention, but the vote goes to Mark Usher's Sweetest Revenge, who has done little wrong of late and may still be ahead of the assessor.
