With Kevin Ryan's juveniles in top form, it would be no surprise to see Guto make a winning debut at the expense of Correct Time, Accent and Miss Lovat. The latter is by far the most experienced of the 10 runners, but she has had by far the most opportunities, and although placed four times, Miss Lovat is passed over. Accent has had just the one run so far when in mid-division over six furlongs here 11 days ago, but given his yard he could easily improve, while Correct Time looks as though he needs six furlongs already judged on his two efforts so far. Therefore it could pay to take a chance on the ability of Guto, whose stable houses some of the best juveniles in the north at present, with the likes of Amadeus Wolf and Palace Episode the main flagbearers. Guto has already been gelded, but the son of Foxhound has an entry in Doncaster's October Yearling Stakes and would not have to be anything special to beat this lot. With that in mind, he is selected to make a winning bow.
