Marshallspark gets the vote over Val de Maal, with Gilded Cove, Law Maker and Parkview Love making for a close-knit contest. Marshallspark seems to have recaptured his old zest since the cheekpieces were fitted, winning well at Ayr recently, and went close under a five-pound penalty at Hamilton on Tuesday. Turned out again quickly, Richard Fahey's charge is taken to gain a first all-weather success. Val de Maal gained his first victory in two years when scoring in soft ground at Newcastle last week, and has won here in the past. However, he does tend to show his best form on a slower surface so might just be found out. Gilded Cove was in fair form in the spring but has been off since May so is best watched, while Law Maker appears held by the selection on recent running, and Parkview Love has not won since making a good start to his career two years ago. All in all, Marshallspark is the safest option.
