Verdict
Del Mar Sunset showed that he stays 1m2f when scoring at Brighton last time but is better over this trip and is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Boundless Prospect and Freeloader. The last mentioned was a winner over course and distance off just a 2lb lower mark in May and has claims if able to reproduce that form today, although recent form suggests that the John Hills-trained gelding would need to improve to figure. Richard Hannon's pair Lord Links and Cello are both dropping to attractive marks with the former marginally preferred of the two, while Zerlina has been well held off today's mark in all four starts since winning a handicap off 75 at Pontefract last term. Consonant is capable but inconsistent, while a market move for Just Fly would be of interest but a bigger threat is likely to come from Boundless Prospect. Gay Kelleway's gelding has run up to his new mark in two starts since winning at Newmarket in July and is entitled to be thereabouts again but Del Mar Sunset is on top of his form at the moment and is taken to score again.
