In depth

Verdict

Free Trip might just have the edge over Take A Bow here, while Flip Flop And Fly and Dr Thong can both go very well. Free Trip is weighted to reverse placings with Take A Bow on their running behind Peter Paul Reubens when both were last seen out at Goodwood the other week. There will probably be very little to choose between the pair again, but the selection should be better suited by this stiffer track and can oblige, while his Goodwood rival can give him most to do again this time. Flip Flop And Fly receives weight from the other pair and will have his supporters, having shown similar form behind Peter Paul Reubens here at Sandown last time. Sylvester Kirk's gelding stayed no strongly up the hill for second that day and we can expect more of the same here, so don't rule him out. Of the others, Dr Thong will be much better for the return to decent ground after flopping with some cut underfoot last time, and with this course also likely to suit he can get involved. Nevertheless, Free Trip looks just about the pick of these this evening.
