Verdict

This looks to be a good opportunity for Blue And Royals to provide Frankie Dettori with another title-chasing win, while there may be little to choose between the other three runners. The selection looked more than useful when landing a York maiden on debut in June and improved on that form in a similar race to this at Newbury last time, when he was just held by Grand Marque. This sort of surface and trip look ideal for the Godolphin colt and a repeat of that previous effort would be good enough to take this. Kamakiri looks perhaps best of the others on what he has achieved so far and is likely to emerge as the main danger. Unsuited by cut on his Salisbury debut, he came on leaps and bounds to win a decent Ascot maiden last time. With similar conditions here another good run is anticipated. Active Asset has a bit to find with those two, despite his short head Yarmouth win last time out, as does Hachita, but she will appreciate this stiff finish and did well at Kempton first time, so she cannot be ruled out with bags of confidence. Even so, the one they all have to beat here is Blues And Royals.
