Plenty of winners about here but perhaps not as competitive as it first looks and a race that can be taken by Nordwind, with Hasaiyda, Doctored and Jackie Kiely others to consider. The selection improved on his previous form with a win over 10 furlongs at Nottingham, and that step up in trip looked the right decision by trainer Peter Harris, who sticks to it again here and looks to have found a good opportunity for the colt to follow up. A repeat of that latest run, or even some improvement, should be good enough. Hasaiyda will be popular receiving weight from the selection and coming from top connections. She too is likely to improve here, having run just twice, and she shaped last time as though this is her trip, so we anticipate more to come from her and she can give Nordwind most to do. Doctored comes from the in-form David Evans yard, but was behind the selection in that Nottingham race and ran last time as though he might just have come to the end of his tether for now. Meanwhile Frankie Dettori is an eyecatching booking to partner Jackie Kiely, as the pair were successful at both Brighton and Newmarket earlier in the season and have not been together in three subsequent starts for the gelding, who can still go very well off this mark. Even so, Nordwind has the right credentials to complete a hat-trick here.
