Flipando has more to do than when scoring at Newcastle last week and preference is for the Michael Jarvis-trained Hinterland, who is preferred to Momtic. The selection ran a fine race for one so inexperienced when fourth behind Cesare in the Royal Hunt Cup last time and is taken to gain compensation for that defeat off the same mark today. With Andrew Balding's string coming into form now, Pentecost has to be respected and would have more solid claims than My Paris who would probably want a softer surface to show his best form. Langford is closely matched with Flipando on Newcastle running, while Granston is again entitled to be thereabouts but may once more have to settle for a minor role. The consistent Momtic is another worthy of consideration but the vote goes to the lightly raced Hinterland, who is taken to resume winning ways.
