        Verdict

        A typically trappy handicap and HIP HIP HOORAY is the tentative pick ahead of Compton Blue and By Command. Luke Dace's filly appeared more than a little unlucky in running on her previous visit to this course and probably should have finished closer than her fifth position suggests. Proven on the ground, she can go well tonight despite a modest draw. Compton Blue ran well at Nottingham over six furlongs. Connections appear to see his future over a longer trip despite the fact that his pedigree suggests that it might not be in his interest. By Command was running in Derby trials when trained by John Dunlop. Now very much in the John Hills camp, the handicapper cannot be accused of offering little assistance as he has dropped him by no fewer than 28lbs over the last year. Miss Mujanna is a model of consistency and if anything, tonight's likely going will suit her far better than that which she experienced at Newmarket. Justcallmehandsome is arguably well in on some of his all weather form though the formbook tells us a more realistic tale. Wunder Strike is quirky but off a featherweight, he cannot be dismissed at what are likely to be big odds. Hip Hip Hooray has plenty of positives in the context of this race and she receives our vote.
