Verdict

POINT OF LIGHT is progressing well and he can complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Blue Nymph. Rosie Jessop rode the selection to victory on his handicap debut at Newmarket in July. That was his first run over this trip and this progressive son of Pivotal evidently has more stamina than the majority of his progeny and with the further step up in trip unlikely to hold any fears, he is taken to win again under a 6lb penalty. Tombov was a Folkestone winner last August when he caused a surprise at 20/1; although his trainer has his Flat horses in good form, it would be another surprise, given his recent poor showing at Nottingham, were he to win today. Blue Nymph only found a progressive stablemate of the selection too good last time out, and this Selkirk filly does not appear to be overburdened with a mark of 74 for her handicap debut. Sounds Of Jupiter has been kept to quick ground of late and has a little to prove, along with Mrs Slocombe who has an entry on Tuesday afternoon. Lucy's Perfect completes the field and Rod Millman's filly is open to more improvement than most; she is rated 46 but her run here last time suggested that she may be better than that. Sir Mark Prescott has a 29% strike-rate at the track in recent seasons and Point Of Light can further improve it.
