    Verdict

Our Faye comes here in search of a hat-trick however Ventura is a horse going places and is taken to foil that hat-trick bid. Our Faye represents a stable in good form and whilst she has risen a total of 10lbs since she started winning, she shapes as if there is more to come. She handles cut in the ground and whilst she has winning course and distance form, we just feel that Ventura may improve past her. Ventura is the least exposed of these and she won impressively on her second start on soft ground and then only went down by a head to Fragrancy on quicker ground in what looks a stronger contest than today's. She was unlucky in running on that occasion and with a clear passage in this small field she looks the one to be on. Skyelady may well appreciate today's slower ground having been well-held on quick ground last time out and shouldn't be ruled out of calculations; she is fairly exposed though and is now 6lbs above her highest winning mark. Lavenham and Angel Sprints are two consistent sorts so should run their races, however Ventura could prove to be the ace and she gets the confident selection.
