This appears on paper to be a weak maiden and we will side with Raglan Copenhagen who looks the best of Rod Millman's trio. The exposed Spiffing and Dirty Dancing make up the aptly-named shortlist. The selection ran well at Lingfield last time out when evidently improving for both his first run and also the step down in trip. If he handles this softer ground (sire did and other progeny of his dam have) then another big run could be on the cards. Spiffing represents a trainer in decent nick and may not get an easier opening than this to get off the mark. However his run last time out was very poor and off the back of that it is hard to recommend him. Dirty Dancing has shown glimpses of promise but nothing too exciting; it's almost as if one has turned up for a session of dirty dancing only to find that Jo Brand is your partner rather than the delectable Jennifer Grey. However maybe it is too soon to be so scathing, and he shouldn't be ruled out. Other dangers look thin on the ground so unless the newcomers are anything semi-special, then this race can go to Raglan Copenhagen.
