Emirates Lady made a pleasing enough debut when second at Lingfield and is taken to go one better here; Mille Feuille and Ethaara join Provence and Russian Empress on a lengthy shortlist. Godolphin horses continue to hit the frame rather than the winners enclosure however the selection is fancied to buck that trend. The drop back to seven furlongs looks likely to suit given her winning relatives and wiser today, she can take this race. A few of the big stables are represented, with Sir Michael Stoute fielding Russian Empress. She was very well-fancied last time but ran no real sort of race; she is another who tries a shorter trip today. Ethaara looks the most interesting of the newcomers; her stable continue to prosper and the market will help guide to her chance today, although it must be added that Richard Hills is never too hard on a newcomer. Provence has the highest rating of the field but her mark probably flatters her slightly so it is not a surprise that she hasn't tried handicaps yet. Mille Feuille looks the pick of Ralph Beckett's pair, however she was well-held last time and may prefer a return to six furlongs. The Hannon newcomers need a check in the betting, however Emirates Lady is taken to score.
