Arrogance is related to several winners so looks one of the more interesting newcomers along with Galpin Junior and Scarlets, however Square Eddie ran well on debut and was then pitched into Group Two company at Ascot so this looks a good opportunity for him to shed his maiden tag. John Best had a fantastic Royal Ascot however Square Eddie was unable to live with them in the Coventry. He pulled a wee bit too hard on that first try at this trip but if he settles today then this $200,000 son of Smart Strike could prove hard to beat. Jeremiah and Auld Arty both bring some fair form to the table, with the latter's recent run at Newmarket looking solid, whilst a Richard Hannon two-year-old commands respect and there was enough in Retro's debut fifth at Windsor to suggest that a big run could be on the cards today. Gary Moore has proven this year that he can ready a newcomer, however Arrogance has already had his jewells removed and the betting is likely to prove informative. Fellow newcomer Galpin Junior's price more than doubled as a two-year-old and he commands plenty of respect, however we will side with experience and Square Eddie.
