Verdict

Hidden Chance has leading claims and should account for the likes of Scutch Mill and Maneki Neko. Hidden Chance has already visited the winner's enclosure twice, including over seven furlongs here in May. Since then she has been upped in trip and scored over 10 furlongs at Windsor in June. Her one try over 12 furlongs, at Brighton prior to that latest victory, saw Richard Hannon's filly finish last of seven when sent off favourite, but we are prepared to give her another chance as she has shaped as though she will get the trip of late. This is hardly a tough assignment and she should be bang in there at the finish. Scutch Mill has yet to try this trip but is another that will have little trouble with it judged on latest efforts. He was certainly unlucky at Windsor the time before last when given too much to do, eventually having to settle for second when he should have really won. Maneki Neko made all at Brighton in June under a clever ride from Frankie Dettori and has since run in handicaps. This drop in grade should help his cause, but we return to Hidden Chance as the solution.
