In depth

Verdict

Live Fast is out to make up for a recent disappointment and can bounce back ahead of Spearit and Arpa. It is only a matter of time before Live Fast opens his account judged on his efforts so far that have seen him find one too good on each of his first three outings. The third time saw him find Racer Forever too good here, and a good run by the fourth home, Hill Spirit in the opener today will advertise his claims. The Godolphin inmate was never going well on his nursery debut at Newmarket, beating only one home and something was clearly amiss, so back in maiden company it is hoped that he will make experience tell. Spearit finished third in a very good maiden at York on his racecourse introduction but failed to build on that at Haydock next time so is best watched, while the market should be noted regarding the chance of Richard Hannon's newcomer Arpa as he also saddles Miss Amadeus with Richard Hughes booked to ride. The rest are hard to fancy, and Live Fast should really be the one to be on.
